What is software ?

    As mentioned earlier, software is another name for Prograg. Programs are instructions that tell a computer how to bring data to the format you want, most of the time the words " software " and program can be interchanged. 

  There are two main types of software: system software and application software. Application software is what you use. System software is the computer that uses it.


 System software examples

    Users mainly work with application software. System software enables application software to interact with computer hardware. System software is "background" software that helps a computer manage its own internal resources.

    System software does not have a single program. It is a set of programs that include the following.

    Operating systems :- are programs that coordinate computer resources, provide interfaces between users and computers, and run applications. Smartphones, tablets and many other mobile devices use embedded operating systems, 

    also called real time operating systems (RTOS). Desktop Compact uses stand-alone operating systems, such as Windows 10 or Mac OS. Networks use Network Operating Systems (NOS).

    Utilities :- perform specific tasks related to computer resource management. The most important utility program for every computer is the antivirus program. These programs protect your computer from viruses or malicious programs that enter your computer via the Internet.

    These malicious programs can damage software and hardware. It can also destroy the security and privacy of your private data. If you do not have antivirus program installed on your computer. It needs to be done.


Application software examples

    Application software can also be described as end user software. There are three types of application software: General-Purpose, Specialized and Apps.

    General-purpose applications :- are widely used in almost all career fields. If you want to be an efficient and effective end user, you need to know these programs.

    Specialized applications :- include thousands of other programs that focus on specific topics and business-related tasks. The two most famous examples are graphics and web authoring programs.
    
    Mobile apps, also known as mobile applications or simply apps, are small programs designed for mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. The number of apps is over five million. Apps for downloading social networking, games, videos and music are the most popular.
